Rochedale Road Upgrade

Rochedale and Priestdale Road upgrade complete 

Residents of Arise can welcome a congestion free intersection at Rochedale & Priestdale Road as the $24 million upgrade has recently been completed.

Used by several nearby schools and business, the intersection sees traffic numbers of nearly 20,000 motorists every day (City of Logan, 2023). This significant upgrade has improved safety and overall operation which will assist travel times for locals, parents, and workers alike.

The project has been jointly funded by the Australian Government and Brisbane and Logan city councils with the major works beginning in January 2022.

The works included removing a single lane roundabout, replaced with a full controlled traffic lights intersection, as well as widening Rochedale Road to include four lanes through the intersection.

The upgrade also included on-road cycle lanes, along with pedestrian crossings on all approaches to the intersection improving the safety for active transport users and students.
