Palisades reaches halfway mark

High demand at Palisades in South Morang has brought forward the construction schedule, with Stages 1 and 2 due for completion in April 2010, Stage 3 now underway with the construction team soon to commence Stage 4.

Eden Rise - A New Dawn at Eden Rise Village

Eden Rise Village is the landmark neighbourhood shopping centre in Berwick, providing local families with convenient shopping in an excellent location. Affinity - Affinity Opens Residents' Club

AffinityThe Affinity Residents’ Club, fully equipped with tennis court, gym, club room, pool and spa; opened to residents’ with a welcoming function organised by Pask Group.

The popular estate, which is now home to over 80 families, is in its final phase of development with the completion of the Residents’ Club and construction of the final stage of designer homes.

PASK Corporate Update

Pask Celebrates 40 years

Although in business for over 55 years, Chairman and Founder of Pask Group, Nev Pask, celebrates 40 years since he incorporated his first company and realised his dream of entering the property industry after moving back to his home state in the late 1960’s after running several successful businesses in Sydney.

From humble beginnings on the Redcliffe Peninsula, the company grew from a local real estate agency into one of the largest private residential property development companies in Queensland.

We are also celebrating 10 years in Victoria, with our first project in Rowville paving the way for several successful developments in Berwick, Keysborough, South Morang and now Greenvale.

It seems Pask Group staff are really living up to the corporate ‘family values’ motif, recently welcoming into the world a girl and three young boys; Jack Johnson, Georgia Ruby Thomasson, Matthew Christopher Pepper and Aiden Phelan.

In true competitive form, Naomi and David Favero and Dean & Jenny Pask have also announced their own impending arrivals in June and July respectively

Promotions

Pask Group congratulates Rebecca Pottenger and Kylie Keegan on their recent promotions. Rebecca is now the Accounts Manager and Kylie the Project Cost Supervisor, taking over responsibilities of previous incumbents who have taken a step back to look after, you guessed it, new babies!

Jenny Foden Celebrates 10 Years with Pask!

2010 marks the tenth year of loyal service for Personal Assistant and Marketing Assistant, Jenny Foden. Jenny joined the Pask team at the youthful age of 19. Jenny began as an administrative assistant and later took on additional roles as office manager, HR and marketing assistant whilst undertaking a Bachelor of Business Degree, majoring in Property Development and Real Estate. The Pask management and staff wish to congratulate Jenny on such a momentous achievement and look forward to the next 10 years!

Sanctuary Springs, New Development in the Works

Pask Group is planning a new residential community at the historical Stockyard Court homestead “The Springs”, located at the highest point in Berwick Springs estate in Narre Warren South.

The development, which is planned to be offered as completed house and land packages, will retain the red brick Queen Ann style residence, associated cottage, stables and blacksmith’s shed built in 1906.

Pask’s aim is to continue the track record it has established at the successful Affinity Project in Berwick and provide the community with quality housing outcomes with nothing left to do but move in.

The estate will be home to around 60 families with a mix of both single and double storey low maintenance homes.

Sales are anticipated to commence in the second half of 2010 with display homes being completed towards the end of the year.

A Word From Nev

2010 is certainly going to be an exciting year with Pask Group celebrating over 40 years in business this year.

The development industry has never been easy and is becoming increasingly more difficult with the continual constraints that governments keep placing on developers. I guess it is the old story, no one has any money, especially governments both local and federal, so a lot more onus is being placed on developers than when I first started in Qld just over 40 years ago. Whilst it may not have been simple back in those days it was certainly a lot simpler than today. Headwork contributions were at a minimum, park contributions were only 5% and Council would bring services to your boundary. They would even put up the street signs but things a very different today.

I remember being at a seminar once where the speaker from America told us about his parents who had just turned 81 and 82. They had just taken out a 30yr loan to purchase one of the biggest motels in America. I tell you this story because it is important to remember that you must never give up no matter how difficult things can become and you must always be enthusiastic about what you do. I still love what I do and I am sure that over the years we have made a lot of people happy with their new properties, whether it be land to construct their dream home on or the purchase of their dream home, which we constructed for them.

We have never lost our enthusiasm and still have the same excitement in delivering new projects and overcoming the various challenges that face our business, as well as providing an opportunity for many thousands of clients over the years to make one of the most important decisions of their lives. We pride ourselves on being very selective in the projects we choose and meeting our commitments and this is reflected in the fact that we have come through the recent financial crisis in good health.

I am extremely excited about what that next 40 years will bring for Pask Group and I wish you all a prosperous and happy 2010!
